About Us
The creators of Bonobo.ca are all active students at Simon Fraser University, who met while taking a Great Ape course taught by Dr. Birute M.F. Galdikas, president of the Orangutan Foundation International. We together decided that one of the best ways to spread information worldwide is via the internet, so Bonobo.ca was formed. Our intention with this website is to provide information on all levels, for people who know nothing about the Bonobo but also for those who study them.
We hope to work alongside the other Bonobo websites in order to expand the information available on the internet, and contribute to the worldwide knowledge of the Bonobo.
Our ultimate goal is to be able to contribute to the conservation of the Bonobo. If just one person visits this site and learns about the plight of the Bonobo, and is inspired to work towards helping the Bonobo, then we have fulfilled our goal. Please, take the time to explore the site and help us all reach out to the Bonobo, who is needing us now more than ever.
